Matlock Route

2023 introduces a new route to the LSW portfolio. Ian Johnson is working hard to create a beautiful and intriguing route. Walkers will start at Bonsall, just beyond Matlock. Then, via rivers and canals, fields and footpaths, woodlands and former railways, the route works its way back to Whitwell.

Below are the maps and route descriptions.
These will be updated as revisions and the final tweaks are made to what will be another fantastic 40 mile challenge walk.

The route descriptions are as accurate as we can get them at the time of uploading. We, and hopefully you, will be out walking the route. If you spot a change or an error please email the group and we will update them. A final version of the route description will be emailed to you a week before walking.
